Not impressed with the food. Our server was okay, there was another staff member who went out of his way to make our visit better though.

Service was amazing food tasted great. comfortable atmosphere. Portion size was not the best for what you are paying I think Olive Garden has them beat on breadsticks, salad, and portion size. Other than that I Definitely recommend trying this place out.

What a great experience! We happened upon this restaurant on our way up north, trying to avoid fast food. We'd never eaten here before but we knew pasta and pizza would be a hit for our 2 young boys. Not only was the food incredible, from the bread to the margherita pizza, we were treated to outstanding service from Alec. He was knowledgeable, attentive and all around just a great guy. He was even able to stop me from leaving my son's water bottle on the table as I was walking out the door.I don't often post reviews, in fact, this is my very first one, but I felt compelled to acknowledge Alec and his exceptional service! Eat here, order the margherita pizza and ask for Alec, you won't be disappointed!!

Our waiter was really nice and super charismatic! We didn't order much, but he still took the time to make sure we were comfortable and always had what we needed. I've never had a bad experience here and would recommend to anyone!

Italian Oven used to be one of my favorite restaurants to eat at when I lived in Mt. Pleasant. Great service, delicious food, huge portions that easily made 2 or 3 meals. Unfortunately it seems in the last couple years ownership has changed hands and it is just not the same experience. The service is still friendly and fast and the restaurant is very clean and has had some modern updates, but I paid $14 for a "regular" sized dish that I finished in one sitting. This was after eating soup & bread as a starter, and no, I do not have a lumberjack's appetite either. I found myself reaching for the bread basket after because I was still hungry. My husband got a large shrimp Alfredo dish and counted 4 shrimp. He also cleared his plate. I expected to be able to bring leftovers home but unfortunately the portions are not at all what they used to be. If the food was a touch higher quality the pricing might be justified, but overall I'm disappointed and will not be returning.

My family and I go here every year for everyone’s birthday, so that’s about 4 times a year and have been going there for the last 16 birthdays. Great food, great service every time.

I've never been inside there. I parked in the parking lot for ten minutes. Google maps assumed i ate there. Wrong. But it looks nice from the outside and there is plenty of parking space. So based on that you get 5 stars.

Very good food and service. The restaurant was very accommodating to us and has the best handicap parking spots I've ever seen. Our server was very knowledgeable and nice as well.

Omg, the food here was great. Loved the Italian Nachos. So good ! Great service too. Our waiter Andy was very informative and made sure we were content the entire visit. Nice friendly guy. Free Gelato Monday topped it off. Can't wait to return to the Italian Oven Restaurant! 😊

Our waiter Ben was hands down the best waiter I've ever had. He didnt do anything extravagant, bit from the moment he appeared I knew our night would be perfect. And it absolutely was. This kid needs a HEFTY promotion!

Amazing Italian food right behind University. Cost was far and service impeccable. Must visit this place close to campus. I would definitely eat there again.

We booked the private room for a family get together. We had the Pizza Buffet. Very Good. The salad was crisp and fresh, dressings delicious. The pizza was excellent. Service was good. I would go here again.

The food was very good. It's always had a good atmosphere, but Andy, the server, was aces. He was like Aces over Kings full house in Texas hold'em level.

Pizza buffet not that great for the money. Pizza was rather bland in taste.

Our server Sam was amazingly great and charismatic and overall just a fun and funny young man! Food took a little long to come out but it was a Saturday night.however aside from it being a little burnt it did the job and I don’t see a reason to not return. Request Sam though he really made that wait far more bearable! Great service!

Service wasn't up to par...took over an HR n half to get our meals. Was hard to keep my 5 yr old occupied especially since it took so long. Was there around 6-7pm on a Friday night waitress didn't make rounds as much as one would of hoped...food was ok nothing outstanding:(

This is a nice place to eat, the food as well as the atmosphere. It is good for kids they can draw on tablecloth as well as build their own pizza. Our waiter was great and stayed on top of the drink refills. Plus they have good gelato.

This was one of my favorite places to eat while I was in college. The portion sizes are smaller and more expensive. The again, it's been a long time since I went to college. They added Gelato which looked really good but I was satisfied and didn't want anything else. Waitress was very friendly. Food was very good as well.

Was told 15 minute wait, took 40 minutes. While multiple small parties waited there were tables sitting dirty for 20-30 minutes and multiple large and small tables that were clean and unseated. We were eventually sat at a table that was open for 20 minutes while people waited. Very poorly organized. Staff friendly. Food good. Service is rough.

I wanted to visit this restaurant despite some of the reviews. First of all, I did get a side salad with no brown or wilty lettuce. House dressing on it was amazing. I got the butternut squash ravioli. It was loaded with cheese and tasted great. I did leave full however, I didn't think my meal should have been $14 but I did leave full because I had my side salad and the bread that you dip in the delicious olive oil and spices. All I can say is that whoever visits cannot go off the reviews because they seem to be all over the place. Our waitress Hailey was excellent. She seemed to get the most complicated tables because people are so particular. Give the waitstaff a break and put yourselves in their shoes!!!

Nice inviting environment! Friendly server. First time ever visiting, & Megan waited on us, she was great! Did a great job on filling our waters every time they got low, brought out our food quickly. Food was very hot and delicious. I even got a free birthday desert, along with 3 Ladies singing. Lol. definitely will be back again soon!

Was in town for one night and decided to try this place. Great service from the waitress, and the atmosphere was nice. There was a large party in the rear of the restaurant, so I expected to wait for my food; however, I was pleasantly surprised that I did not have to wait long. I would return if I'm ever in Mt Pleasant again.

Good food, attentive service, reasonably priced ... was not busy that day so if you're looking for service, this is someplace to try.

I've love coming here, and have never had a bad experience. The waitress'/waiters are so friendly and on to of their game when it comes to customer service! The food is exceptional no matter what it is. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I don't like the change in bread. I liked the whole liaf if bread versus the slices.

Staff was friendly. We got a 12 inch pizza and was very impressed with the time it took to make and get to our table. Pizza taste very good. Didn't cost a whole lot either.

Food and service is always amazing! We have been coming to Italian Oven for about 20 years! Can't go to Mount Pleasant without eating here. Wish the one that was in Midland was still open! Our server today was Tim and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was great.

The service continues to decline. I went in about 11:45 yesterday & there were 3 other tables seated. We were sat quickly and waited for 12 minutes. Never once saw a server & left!

I love this place, you can never go wrong with your order. Our waiter Tyler was really awesome, he was friendly and helpful. I usually go for the goat cheese ravioli and I was told that they discontinued it, I was kind of upset cuz I LOVE goat cheese, so Tyler said that they can make me the regular cheese ravioli the same way they make the goat cheese ones and he can get me feta cheese, so I ordered that with grilled chicken and man, the feta cheese made it tastier. Great food, great place, Tyler and other waiters were really friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Great food!!! We were behind schedule and in a hurry. They went above and behind to hurry and make sure we made it to schedule appointment which they didn't have to do any of it. Megan was our waitress she was fantastic!! Highly recommend!!

Ordered the Lava Rock Steak and it was simply amazing. Went on a busy Valentine’s Day but they turned the tables fast and gave us a nice experience.

Fantastic food, reasonable prices. Confusing atmosphere, but comfortable nonetheless. Great place for a fancy date, but also great for a group of friends to get lunch together and have fun!

Food was great, but our server was covering two large groups and guests in the dining room. Service could have been better for our group of 13, but not his fault. Scheduling issue??
